Akshay Kumar’s Royal Ramp Walk Steals Couture Week

Bollywood icon dazzles in Falguni Shane Peacock’s regal designs.

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar captivated audiences at Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week 2025, stealing the spotlight as the showstopper for designers Falguni Shane Peacock. Held at the Taj Palace Hotel, the event showcased Kumar’s undeniable charisma as he embodied royal sophistication.

Dressed in an ivory achkan-style sherwani, Kumar radiated timeless elegance with a modern twist. The intricately embroidered jacket, adorned with gold buttons and sharp tailoring, shimmered subtly, while black sunglasses added a contemporary edge. The look, complete with padded shoulders, was a perfect blend of tradition and trend.

Speaking in Hindi post-show, Kumar thanked the audience and media, humorously noting, “Kaafi late nahi ho gaya hai?” (Isn’t it getting late?). Reflecting on his ramp walk, he shared, “It’s been 12 years since I last walked for Falguni Shane Peacock. It’s an honor to be back.” He praised the designers’ hard work, marveling at how a 25-minute show requires immense effort. “Falguni and Shane present India so proudly on a global stage. I wish them luck and hope to collaborate again,” he added.
