Kalyani Priyadarshan Skips Onam At Home For Pralay Shoot With Ranveer Singh

Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan is set to miss celebrating Onam at home with her family this year as she remains in the city for the shooting schedule of her upcoming Bollywood debut, Pralay, in which she will share the screen with Ranveer Singh. The actor is currently occupied with the zombie thriller's production and will therefore be away from her family during the festival. Kalyani revealed that her work commitments have meant missing one of the most important parts of her Onam celebrations — spending the day with her family and enjoying the traditional Sadhya together.

The elaborate vegetarian feast is an integral part of Onam celebrations in Kerala and is typically served on a banana leaf, with families gathering to mark the festival. This year, however, Kalyani will have to celebrate away from home because of her ongoing film commitments in Mumbai. The actor's absence comes as she prepares for an important career transition. Kalyani, who has worked predominantly in South Indian cinema, is making her Bollywood debut with Pralay.
