Maddock Films has ignited excitement among cinema fans with the first look of Agastya Nanda in the upcoming war drama Ikkis, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan. The film, slated for a theatrical release in December 2025, chronicles the heroic life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of India’s Param Vir Chakra, who was martyred at 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pak War’s Battle of Basantar.

The studio shared the poster on its official social media, proclaiming, “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present #Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.” The striking visual features Nanda embodying Khetarpal’s valor, capturing the essence of his courage and sacrifice.

Ikkis boasts a stellar cast, including veteran actor Dharmendra, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher in key roles. Initially announced in 2019 with Varun Dhawan as the lead, the project faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in Dhawan’s exit due to scheduling conflicts. Nanda, who debuted in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023), steps into the spotlight as Khetarpal, marking his second major cinematic venture.
