Peddi Crosses Rs 100 Crore Worldwide, Upasana Celebrates With Fans

Entrepreneur Upasana Konidela joined fans in celebrating the box office success of Peddi after the Ram Charan-starrer crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in worldwide gross collections on its opening day. Videos of the celebrations have gone viral on social media, showing Upasana interacting with fans and participating in festivities marking the film's strong start at the box office.
In the clips circulating online, Upasana is seen cutting a customised cake featuring the film's poster and the words "Peddi Blockbuster." The cake was decorated with five stars as a tribute to the film's performance. Fans gathered around her applauded, cheered and burst crackers, while Upasana spent time interacting with children and supporters who had assembled to celebrate the milestone.
The celebrations followed her visit to a Hyderabad theatre, where she watched the film with family members and fans. Videos from inside the cinema showed Upasana enthusiastically responding to key moments in the film, cheering alongside the audience and enjoying the atmosphere. As she exited the theatre after the screening, she described the film in a single word: "Amazing."

Peddi has delivered a strong opening at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 51 crore net in India on its first day across 12,412 shows. Including paid previews worth Rs 18.50 crore, the film's total India net collection has reached Rs 69.50 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 82.49 crore.
The Telugu version accounted for the bulk of the earnings, contributing Rs 47.20 crore, while the Hindi version added around Rs 3 crore. Overseas markets also responded strongly, with the film grossing approximately Rs 30 crore outside India. This pushed the film's worldwide gross collection to Rs 112.49 crore within its opening day.
The film's performance was further boosted by positive audience response and increasing footfall throughout the day. Attendance reportedly rose steadily across screenings, with night shows registering nearly 77 per cent occupancy. With strong word of mouth and a record-breaking opening, Peddi has emerged as one of the biggest box office launches of the year and strengthened Ram Charan's standing among the country's top stars.
