Alanna Panday, Ivor McCray Expecting Second Child, Family Shares Joy

Social media influencer Alanna Panday and her husband, photographer and filmmaker Ivor McCray, are expecting their second child. The announcement received affectionate reactions from family members, friends and entertainment industry personalities, who congratulated the couple as they prepare to welcome another member into their family.

Alanna’s mother, fitness instructor Deanne Panday, celebrated the news by writing, “Grandmaa for the second time. God bless you.” Actors Alizeh Agnihotri and Mrunal Thakur, along with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aliyah Kashyap, also congratulated the couple following the announcement.

Ivor reacted to the news by writing, “River upgraded to big bro,” referring to the couple’s first child. Alanna’s cousin, actor Ananya Panday, reshared the announcement video on her Instagram Story and added several red heart emojis and an evil-eye emoji to convey her happiness and good wishes.

Alanna is the daughter of businessman Chikki Panday, the brother of actor Chunky Panday, and Deanne Panday. She has built a following as a social media influencer and made her screen debut in The Tribe, a reality series backed by filmmaker Karan Johar and released on Prime Video in 2024.

The show also featured Alfia Jafry, Aryaana Gandhi, Srushti Porey and Alaviaa Jaaferi. Alanna married her long-time partner Ivor in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Mumbai in March 2023. The wedding was attended by several film personalities, including Ananya, Chunky, Rekha, Shah Rukh Khan, Jackie Shroff, Bobby Deol and Neelam Kothari.

The couple welcomed their first child, River, in 2024. Speaking previously about motherhood, Alanna said becoming a parent had brought major changes, increased responsibility and considerable personal growth. She described parenthood as one of life’s most rewarding experiences and said the love she felt for her family had exceeded anything she had imagined before starting one.
