Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly set to return to theatres in a re-release, although a release date has not yet been announced. The Tom Holland-led Marvel film has already become a major box-office success, with reported worldwide earnings of more than $2.49 billion. Details about the re-release, including whether additional footage will be included, have not been disclosed.
The film, the fourth instalment in Holland's Spider-Man franchise, also features Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Florence Pugh and Mark Ruffalo in important roles. The reported re-release would give audiences another opportunity to watch the superhero film on the big screen, while also potentially providing additional material connected to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has also achieved major milestones at the box office. According to the information provided, the film currently ranks behind only Avatar and Avengers: Endgame among the highest-grossing films worldwide. It also surpassed Titanic and other major releases during its theatrical run.

On September 16, the film reportedly overtook Star Wars: The Force Awakens to become the highest-grossing domestic film, crossing the earlier benchmark of $936 million. Brand New Day reached $936.773 million domestically after 47 days in theatres, further adding to its commercial success.
The reported re-release comes as Marvel prepares for another major theatrical release, Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for December 18. Avengers: Endgame has also returned to theatres as Avengers: Endgame Encore, featuring additional footage intended to connect the film with the upcoming Doomsday. The Russo Brothers, who directed Endgame and are returning for Doomsday, have asked fans to keep the new material confidential.
There is currently no confirmation about what additional material could be included in the Brand New Day re-release or whether it would directly connect to Avengers: Doomsday. Florence Pugh is expected to reprise her role as Yelena Belova in Doomsday, while Holland is not listed on the official call sheet mentioned in the supplied material.
