Salman Khan’s 'Eidi' to Fans—A Glimpse of Recovering Father Salim Khan at Galaxy Apartments

Bollywood actor Salman Khan greeted fans on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr from his residence in Mumbai, continuing a long-standing family tradition that draws large crowds each year. Standing behind the bullet-proof glass balcony of Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, the actor waved, smiled, and blew kisses to thousands of fans gathered outside.

This year’s celebration carried added emotional significance as veteran screenwriter Salim Khan also made a public appearance alongside his son, marking his first outing after being discharged from hospital earlier this week. Fans, who had been concerned about his health following a recent brain haemorrhage, welcomed the sight with enthusiasm, and videos of the moment quickly went viral on social media.

Other members of the Khan family, including Salman Khan’s mother Sushila Charak, brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and children from the extended family, also joined in greeting the crowd. The gathering reflected the enduring popularity of the actor and the strong connection he shares with fans, especially during festive occasions.

Salim Khan, 90, had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 17 after suffering a brain haemorrhage and was placed in the intensive care unit. Doctors later confirmed that the condition had been stabilised, and he was kept on ventilator support as a precautionary measure. He was discharged earlier this week following recovery, according to sources.

A celebrated figure in Indian cinema, Salim Khan is best known as one half of the iconic writing duo Salim-Javed, alongside Javed Akhtar. Together, they scripted some of Hindi cinema’s most influential films, including Sholay, Deewar, and Don, among many others that defined an era of storytelling in Bollywood.

Salim Khan’s journey in the film industry began with aspirations of becoming an actor after moving from Indore to Mumbai, but he eventually found his calling in screenwriting. His partnership with Akhtar produced numerous blockbuster films and left a lasting legacy. His appearance on Eid not only reassured fans about his recovery but also added a heartfelt touch to the family’s annual celebration.
