Pooja Hegde's New York Style Run Continues With Stunning Corset Saree
Pooja Hegde wears red corset saree at New York's India Day Parade.
Pooja Hegde continued her fashion streak during her visit to New York, where she attended the 44th Annual India Day Parade as the Grand Chief Guest on August 16. After making a statement in a bright yellow saree, the actress opted for a striking red corset saree that blended traditional Indian fashion with a modern couture-inspired look.
The red saree, designed by Arpita Mehta, featured intricate gold embellishments that added a shimmering effect to the outfit. Its standout element was the structured corset-style blouse, which came with a plunging neckline and a figure-hugging silhouette. The contemporary blouse gave the traditional saree a glamorous makeover while keeping the overall look rooted in Indian fashion.
The saree also featured shimmering gold details throughout the drape, along with coin-like embellishments around the waist that added a subtle bohemian touch. The front highlighted the sculpted corset and flowing drape, while the back featured delicate tie-up detailing. The combination of structured tailoring and fluid fabric gave the ensemble a distinctive red-carpet appeal.

Pooja kept her accessories relatively elegant to ensure that the outfit remained the focus. She completed the look with ornate gold earrings and stacked bangles. Her shoulder-length black hair was styled in soft, voluminous waves, while glowing makeup, defined eyes and a muted red lip complemented the bold colour of the saree.
Before stepping out in the red ensemble, Pooja had also impressed in a mustard-yellow saree by Anita Dongre. The outfit featured floral embroidery in sage green, powder blue, ivory and pastel shades, along with a structured blouse, sweetheart neckline and open back. A sheer sage-green dupatta, delicate gold jewellery and her softly styled hair completed the traditional yet contemporary appearance.
With both looks, Pooja showcased contrasting approaches to Indian fashion during her New York appearance. While the yellow ensemble leaned towards an elegant and traditional aesthetic, the red corset saree brought a more dramatic and contemporary edge. Her latest look highlighted how classic saree silhouettes can be reinterpreted through modern cuts, embellishments and couture-inspired styling.
