Pakistani Social Media Star Fatally Attacked In Taxila After Unknown Assailants Target Vehicle

TikTok Star Killed In Taxila Shooting

Pakistani TikTok creator Shamsoo Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gilamana, was shot dead after two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at the car she was travelling in with her siblings on August 14. The shooting took place near a petrol pump in Taxila, and her 15-year-old sister, Aseema, was seriously injured in the incident. According to a report by Arab News, Bibi’s father, Fazal Sahibzada, said in a police complaint that his daughter had received a phone call from a man identified as Kashif, also known by the alias “Kashi”.

The caller allegedly asked Bibi to come outside her house immediately. Bibi subsequently left the house with her sister Aseema and brother Naimatullah in their car. The family later learned that Bibi had been shot and that Aseema had suffered serious injuries. Sahibzada said he went to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Taxila after being informed about the incident, where he identified his daughter’s body in the mortuary. The circumstances surrounding the phone call and whether it was connected to the shooting remain part of the investigation.

Naimatullah reportedly told his father that two unidentified men, believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, approached the vehicle while travelling on a motorcycle. The attackers allegedly opened fire at the car near a petrol station before fleeing the scene. Police have not publicly identified the suspects, and the motive behind the shooting has not been established. One of the bullets struck Bibi in the neck, killing her at the scene, according to the account cited in the police complaint.

The gunfire also caused the driver to lose control of the car, which then crashed into another vehicle. Aseema was seriously injured in the ensuing crash and was taken for medical treatment. The incident has drawn attention because of Bibi’s presence on TikTok and her identity as a social media creator. However, there is no confirmed indication in the available account that her online activity was connected to the attack. Investigators will need to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the identity of the men involved and the reason the attack was carried out.

The case remains under investigation, with the attackers still unidentified. The reported police complaint provides details from Bibi’s father and brother about the events leading up to and during the shooting, but those accounts do not by themselves establish a motive or identify those responsible. Bibi’s death and her sister’s injuries have left the family facing a major loss as authorities investigate the circumstances of the attack. The focus of the investigation is expected to remain on identifying the two men who allegedly carried out the shooting, determining whether the earlier phone call was connected to the incident and establishing a possible motive.
