Nita Ambani stuns in a handwoven Banarasi saree with polki diamond jewels at NMACC.

Nita Ambani turned heads at a recent cultural event hosted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), where she showcased a blend of traditional elegance and contemporary style. The Reliance Foundation Chairperson used the occasion not only to make a fashion statement but also to announce a significant initiative aimed at expanding access to the arts for students across India and internationally.

Dressed in a handwoven Banarasi silk saree, Nita Ambani highlighted India’s rich textile heritage. The saree, crafted by master weaver Amresh Kushwaha and his daughter Angika Kushwaha, reportedly took over four months to complete. Featuring intricate gold and silver floral motifs, a broad border, and an elaborate pallu, the attire reflected a seamless fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics, drawing widespread appreciation on social media.

She paired the saree with a custom-designed blouse by renowned Indian designer Anamika Khanna. The Chantilly lace blouse, adorned with delicate beaded tassels and tailored in a refined silhouette, complemented the richness of the saree. The ensemble underscored Ambani’s consistent support for Indian artisans and designers, reinforcing her reputation as a patron of heritage fashion.

Her look was further elevated with a striking set of polki diamond jewellery from her personal collection. A statement choker necklace, matching earrings, bangles, and a prominent diamond ring added to the regal appeal. The styling balanced opulence with grace, making it one of the standout fashion moments at the event while aligning with the cultural theme of the gathering.

For her makeup and overall styling, Ambani opted for a polished yet understated look. Kohl-lined eyes, soft pink lips, a subtle highlighter, and a classic bindi complemented her attire. Her hair was styled in loose waves with a side parting, completing a look that blended traditional Indian beauty elements with contemporary refinement.

Beyond fashion, the event carried a larger cultural message. Nita Ambani spoke about her personal journey with dance and her commitment to promoting the arts. She announced that the NMACC would now open its doors to students from schools and colleges across India and abroad, aiming to nurture young talent and make cultural education more accessible on a global scale.
