Fact Check Finds Nayanthara's Bald Tirumala Photos are Digitally Altered

Viral photos of Nayanthara with a shaved head are digitally altered.

Viral images claiming actor Nayanthara shaved her head during a Tirumala temple visit ahead of the release of Toxic are false. The pictures circulating on social media have been digitally altered to make the actor appear bald. The claims gained traction online amid growing attention around Nayanthara's upcoming projects, with several users sharing the edited photographs on X and speculating that she had offered her hair at the temple.

The images being circulated are linked to Nayanthara's actual visit to Tirumala in April, when she visited the temple with her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. Authentic photographs from the visit show that her hair was intact. A comparison between the original photographs and the viral versions reveals that the same outfit and earrings have been retained, while her hair and scalp have been digitally modified to create the appearance that she had shaved her head.

The claim that Nayanthara went bald at Tirumala therefore has no credible basis. The altered pictures appear to have been created or manipulated using digital editing or AI-based image-generation techniques. The viral versions changed only specific aspects of her appearance, which helped the images appear convincing at first glance. However, the availability of original photographs from the same visit makes it possible to establish that the bald appearance is not genuine.

The speculation emerged at a time when Nayanthara is receiving considerable attention for her upcoming film Toxic. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film stars Yash in the lead role and also features Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. The film explores the darker side of Goa, portraying a narcotics syndicate operating beneath the region's tourist-friendly image and vibrant coastal setting.

Toxic is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations and is scheduled to release in theatres on August 26. Nayanthara is also associated with another upcoming project opposite Salman Khan, which is tentatively titled SVC63. Her involvement in multiple high-profile films has contributed to increased public interest in her recent appearances and social media posts.

The Tirumala images highlight how digitally manipulated photographs can quickly fuel speculation about celebrities, particularly around major film releases. In this case, comparing the viral pictures with authentic photographs from Nayanthara's April temple visit clearly shows that the bald appearance was digitally created. There is no credible evidence that Nayanthara shaved her head during the visit, making the viral claim false.
