Dave Chappelle Reveals ‘The Unstoppable…’ Netflix Special Ahead of Jake Paul–Anthony Joshua Fight

Comedian Dave Chappelle surprised fans by announcing a brand-new Netflix special during his appearance ahead of the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing match on Friday night. Titled Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable…, the special began streaming immediately after the fight concluded. Chappelle thanked his hometown Washington, D.C., audience for attending the October show that formed the basis of the performance.

Chappelle addressed the crowd, saying, “I wanted to shout out my hometown, Washington, D.C., and thank everybody that came out in October to support me at that show. I just want you to know that show will be streaming on Netflix tonight. After the fight, my new special drops, and I hope you love it.” The announcement capped a high-profile evening for the comedian at the sporting event.

The official logline describes the special as Chappelle delivering “bold truths and potent punchlines in this no-holds-barred special” amid a “world gone sideways.” It continues his long-standing partnership with Netflix, which has hosted several of his acclaimed stand-up performances.

In 2025, Chappelle has remained active, co-headlining the Still Talkin’ That Sh*t Tour with Killer Mike last year, hosting the first Saturday Night Live episode of the year—his fourth time as host—and recently performing at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia. The surprise drop reinforces his reputation for unpredictable and impactful releases.
