Cocktail 2 Surges With 20.4% Growth, Crosses Rs 50 Crore Worldwide in Two Days
Cocktail 2 grows 20.4%; crosses Rs 50 crore worldwide mark.
The romantic drama Cocktail 2 continued its strong run at the box office on its second day, registering a significant increase in collections despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the film has emerged as one of the notable Hindi releases of the year and is showing encouraging signs in its opening weekend performance.
After earning ₹13.5 crore on its opening day, the film recorded a 20.4 per cent growth on Saturday, collecting an estimated ₹16.25 crore net at the domestic box office. With this, its two-day India net collection reached ₹29.75 crore. The increase indicates positive momentum over the weekend and suggests that audience interest remained steady after the initial release day.
The film has also performed well internationally, helping it cross an important milestone within just two days of release. According to available figures, Cocktail 2 has grossed approximately ₹50.95 crore worldwide, combining domestic and overseas earnings. The worldwide total reflects the film's appeal among both Indian and international audiences and provides a strong foundation for its first-week box office run.

Occupancy figures showed a clear upward trend throughout Saturday. The film recorded an overall occupancy of around 26 per cent across 10,245 shows. Morning screenings registered 13.23 per cent occupancy, while afternoon shows improved to 31.38 per cent. Evening screenings climbed further to 34.77 per cent, and night shows recorded the highest attendance at 42.46 per cent, indicating stronger audience turnout later in the day.
The film's performance is particularly noteworthy given the mixed critical response it received following its release. While reviews have been divided regarding the story and execution, the star cast and the popularity of the franchise name appear to have contributed to audience interest. Strong weekend collections could help the film maintain momentum as it heads into the crucial first full week of its theatrical run.
Industry observers will now closely watch the film's Sunday performance to assess whether it can sustain its growth trajectory. A strong showing on the third day could significantly boost its opening weekend total and strengthen its prospects for a successful box office run. For now, Cocktail 2 has managed to combine star power and audience curiosity to achieve a promising start at theatres across India and overseas markets.
