Fans of the Welcome franchise have reason to rejoice, as the highly anticipated action-comedy Welcome To The Jungle has officially announced its release date. The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, is set to hit cinemas on 26 June 2026, marking the return of one of Bollywood’s most beloved comedy franchises. The announcement was confirmed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on X (formerly Twitter).
The film promises a larger-than-life cinematic experience, featuring a massive ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar. Joining him are industry veterans and fan favorites including Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, and many more, making it one of the most star-studded Bollywood films of the year.
Director Ahmed Khan has emphasized that Welcome To The Jungle is not a typical comedy. Speaking to the press, he stated that the film blends dark humour, situational comedy, and action, and described it as “serious cinema with comedic undertones.” He noted that without the film’s sound, viewers might perceive it as a serious action drama, highlighting the scale and cinematic approach of the project.

The production faced significant challenges, including a delayed shoot originally planned in Kashmir in June 2025. According to Khan, finding an alternative location that resembled Kashmir and coordinating schedules for 36 actors proved extremely difficult, contributing to the postponement of the release.
Backed by AA Nadiadwala and Star Studio18, in association with Cape of Good Films and Seeta Films, the project is being positioned as a high-scale family entertainer. The producers have promised an action-packed storyline combined with the trademark humour that the franchise is known for, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2026.
As fans eagerly mark their calendars for June, the filmmakers are ramping up promotions, promising surprises, grand action sequences, and comedic set-pieces.
