Actor Sharvari has responded to Alia Bhatt’s recent social media shout-out to the song Maskara, calling the gesture “purely out of love” during a promotional interaction for Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga. The film, which features Sharvari alongside Vedang Raina, Naseeruddin Shah, and Diljit Dosanjh, has been generating attention following the release of its first song.
The discussion arose after Alia Bhatt, who was attending the 79th Cannes Film Festival, shared a video of herself getting ready while the track Maskara played in the background. In the clip, she was seen singing along to the song as she applied makeup, and captioned the post with a message tagging Sharvari, Vedang Raina, Imtiaz Ali, and A.R. Rahman, expressing affection and support for the team.
Reacting to the gesture at the film’s trailer launch, Sharvari said she believed Alia’s appreciation for the song was genuine and not calculated. She noted that the actress had shown warmth and encouragement despite her busy schedule at Cannes, adding that the gesture reflected Alia’s personality and her support for fellow artists in the industry.
