Border 2 gets CBFC UA 13+ clearance with zero cuts.

Sunny Deol-starrer Border 2 has received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its theatrical release scheduled for January 23. The war drama has been granted a UA 13+ certificate, allowing unrestricted release with parental guidance advised for younger viewers due to its intense battle sequences and emotional themes.

Notably, the CBFC has approved the film without suggesting any cuts, ensuring that audiences will experience the narrative exactly as envisioned by the filmmakers. The certification also confirms the film’s extended runtime of 3 hours and 16 minutes, positioning Border 2 as a large-scale, immersive cinematic experience in the war genre.

Despite concerns that the lengthy duration could impact audience turnout, early indicators suggest strong interest. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has registered an all-India gross advance booking collection of Rs 2.68 crore for its opening day. A total of 83,941 tickets have been sold across 8,469 shows nationwide, reflecting positive pre-release momentum.
