Zeenat Aman Confirms Autobiography Plans: "My Life Has Been Public, It's Time to Tell It"

Veteran Bollywood Actress Zeenat Aman on Thursday hinted at plans to write her autobiography while attending the Jaipur Literature Festival, where she spoke candidly about her life, creativity, and relationship with public attention. The actor said that while everyone’s life contains drama, hers has unfolded largely in the public eye, making the idea of documenting it both natural and challenging.

Zeenat Aman was at the festival to launch Older and Bolder, a new book by author Aman Nath. During the event, she also recited select poems from the collection, drawing warm applause from the audience. Her presence at the festival sparked wide interest, with many attendees keen to hear her reflections on writing, aging, and self-expression.

During a panel interaction, Zeenat Aman addressed the possibility of writing her own book, saying that if she were to do so, it would most likely be an autobiography. “There’s drama in everyone’s life, but mine is known to all because my life has been public,” she said. At one point, she turned to the audience and asked whether she should write a book, prompting an enthusiastic response from the crowd.

Responding to the cheers, the actor said she would love to write her autobiography, potentially in collaboration with Aman Nath. Her lighthearted remark—“Aman with Amaan”—was met with laughter, underscoring the informal and reflective tone of the discussion. While she did not confirm any formal plans, her comments suggested that the idea is under serious consideration.

Zeenat Aman also spoke about her outlook on life, emphasizing the importance of living joyfully regardless of fame or attention. She said she enjoys each day fully, whether or not she is in the spotlight, and finds happiness in small moments, such as seeing a flower bloom in her garden. Reflecting on her interests, she added that she alternates between a desire to travel and the simple pleasure of slowing down and unwinding, a balance she believes is essential to living well.
