Zayed Khan on Hrithik-Sussanne Divorce: "It Wasn't Meant to Be, Both Would Have Suffered"

Zayed Khan has spoken about the separation of Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, stating that their 14-year marriage “wasn’t meant to be” and that both families chose acceptance over conflict following the divorce. The couple, who married in 2000, parted ways in 2014 but have since maintained a cordial relationship.

In a recent interview, Zayed Khan reflected on the decision, suggesting that holding on to a relationship that no longer works can lead to greater harm. He emphasised that both Hrithik and Sussanne shifted their focus toward co-parenting their children and supporting their growth, rather than dwelling on the end of their marriage.

The former couple have, over the years, set an example of an evolved post-divorce relationship, often being seen together at family events and prioritising their sons’ well-being. Their approach to co-parenting has been widely noted, with both continuing to support each other during important moments.

Zayed Khan also highlighted that their families were not influenced by societal pressure and instead prioritised individual happiness and emotional well-being. Speaking further, he stated that once a relationship ends, it is important to move forward and seek happiness rather than remain stuck in the past. He added that not everyone may understand this perspective, but respecting individual journeys is essential.

Currently, Hrithik Roshan is in a relationship with Saba Azad, while Sussanne Khan is dating Arslan Goni. Both have moved on in their personal lives while continuing to maintain a balanced and respectful dynamic as co-parents.
