When Salman Fired a Gun at Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood’s biggest stars, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, once left their film crew in shock when a prank took an unexpected turn on the sets of ‘Karan Arjun’. Actor-comedian Johny Lever recently revealed that Salman pretended to shoot Shah Rukh, causing momentary panic among the team.

In an interview with Galatta India, Johny Lever reminisced about working with the two Khans on the 1995 blockbuster. He shared that after wrapping up their shoots, the cast and crew would often party together. Salman, known for his mischievous streak, would frequently play pranks on Shah Rukh.

One evening, things escalated when a heated argument broke out between the two actors. Suddenly, Salman pulled out a gun and fired at Shah Rukh. The ‘Pathaan’ actor dramatically collapsed to the ground, leaving everyone in stunned silence. Even actor-screenwriter Honey Irani was taken aback, believing something serious had happened.

Just as panic set in, the duo burst into laughter, revealing that it was all an elaborate prank. Salman had used an unloaded gun, and Shah Rukh had played along perfectly, fooling the entire team.

Johny Lever also spoke about his long-standing friendship with Shah Rukh. He recalled working with him since Baazigar and even attending the film’s success party at Gauri Khan’s home—before she had married the Bollywood superstar.

This anecdote from Karan Arjun offers a glimpse into the off-screen camaraderie between Salman and Shah Rukh, proving that their legendary bond goes beyond the silver screen. The two recently shared screen space in the 2023 Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Pathaan’, where Salman appeared in a cameo role.
