War 2 Box Office: Jr NTR & Hrithik Roshan Starrer Earns ₹51.5 Cr on Day 1!
‘War 2’ earns ₹51.5 crore on opening day, marking Jr NTR’s Bollywood debut.
The highly anticipated action thriller War 2, starring Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan, opened to a phenomenal response at the domestic box office, collecting a staggering ₹51.5 crore on its first day. The film, which released on Thursday, marks Jr NTR’s much-awaited Bollywood debut and is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, War 2 is part of the ever-expanding YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik Roshan reprises his role as Kabir, a RAW agent, while Jr NTR plays elite operative Vikram in a high-octane global face-off.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Hindi version alone contributed ₹29 crore to the opening total, followed by ₹22.25 crore from Telugu regions and ₹0.25 crore from the Tamil version.

Also starring Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor, War 2 builds on the legacy of the original film directed by Siddharth Anand, which grossed over ₹471 crore worldwide and was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2019.
With action, star power, and franchise momentum, War 2 is poised to be one of 2025’s biggest blockbusters.
