Trisha Blushes as Fans Tease Her About Vijay

Trisha's viral blush response to fan comments about Vijay intensifies affair rumors.

Actor Trisha Krishnan became the center of online attention after videos of her interaction with fans outside a theater screening of the Tamil film Karuppu went viral on social media amid continued speculation surrounding her relationship with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. The actor attended the film’s first-day, first-show screening after the movie finally reached theaters following several delays linked to financial and distribution issues. Clips shared widely online showed fans gathering around Trisha as she exited the theater while security personnel managed the crowd outside the venue.

During one of the interactions captured on video, a fan was heard telling Trisha, “Thalapathy ah kettenu sollunga,” asking her to convey greetings to Vijay. The remark drew cheers and laughter from surrounding fans, while Trisha responded with a smile and replied, “Kandipa,” meaning “definitely.” She then lowered her head and briefly looked at her phone before waving to fans from inside her vehicle. The moment quickly gained traction across social media platforms, with users linking the exchange to ongoing rumors about Trisha and Vijay’s personal relationship that have circulated online in recent months.

The viral clips emerged only days after Trisha attended Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony following his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, securing victory in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Trisha attended the event along with her mother, Uma Krishnan, and several moments from the ceremony also attracted attention online. One widely shared video showed the actor appearing emotional during Vijay’s speech, while another image showed her greeting and hugging Vijay’s mother, Shoba. Trisha later posted photographs from the ceremony on Instagram with the caption "The love is always louder,” further fueling public discussion surrounding the pair.

Speculation around Vijay and Trisha intensified after the two were reportedly seen together at a private wedding event earlier this year. Trisha was previously engaged to businessman Varun Manian in 2015, although the engagement ended within the same year. Vijay, meanwhile, married Sangeetha Sornalingam in 1999, and the couple has two children. Reports regarding their marital status and alleged divorce proceedings have remained the subject of media attention, although neither Vijay nor his family has publicly addressed the speculation surrounding his relationship with Trisha.

Meanwhile, Karuppu has continued to dominate headlines due to its troubled release. Directed by RJ Balaji and starring Suriya alongside Trisha, the action drama reportedly faced delays because of pending financial settlements involving producers and financiers. Several scheduled screenings across Tamil Nadu were cancelled before the film eventually reached theatres, despite reports that special permission had been granted for early morning shows. RJ Balaji also addressed disappointed fans on social media, stating that the production team was working to resolve all remaining hurdles surrounding the release.

The film marks the reunion of Suriya and Trisha after their 2005 film Aaru and features a supporting cast including Yogi Babu, Indrans, and Sshivada. The story follows a father-daughter duo fighting a prolonged legal battle before their case is taken up by a mysterious lawyer portrayed by Suriya. Trisha plays advocate Preethi in the film, while RJ Balaji appears in a negative role. Despite release complications, the film reportedly generated strong advance bookings ahead of its theatrical opening, reflecting sustained audience anticipation around the project.
