Threat Email Hits Aayush Sharma: Bishnoi Gang Link Claimed in Latest Bollywood Scare

Aayush Sharma gets a threat email linked to the Bishnoi gang.

Actor Aayush Sharma, brother-in-law of Bollywood star Salman Khan, has allegedly received a threat email from an unidentified sender claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police officials confirmed on Wednesday. The incident comes amid a series of recent threats targeting prominent figures in the Hindi film industry.

According to police sources, the sender identified himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, though specific details of the contents of the email have not been disclosed. Despite the gravity of the claim, no formal complaint had been registered at the time of reporting. However, law enforcement authorities have initiated a probe into the matter.

A senior official said that the Mumbai Police crime branch is examining the authenticity of the email to determine whether it was genuinely sent by individuals associated with the gang or whether it was a hoax. Technical teams are tracing the origin of the message and reviewing digital evidence as part of the investigation. Authorities have not ruled out any possibility at this stage.

The development follows closely after actor Ranveer Singh reportedly received a threat through a WhatsApp voice note from unidentified persons. In that case, police indicated that the threat may have been issued with the intention of extortion and that suspected members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang could be involved. The investigation into that incident is ongoing.

Security concerns within Mumbai’s film fraternity have intensified in recent days. Last week, an unidentified assailant allegedly fired five rounds outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in the city’s Juhu area. While police have not officially linked the incidents, the sequence of threats and security breaches has prompted heightened vigilance.

Officials have reiterated that appropriate action will be taken once the source and intent of the email sent to Sharma are established. They have also urged individuals to promptly report any such threats to ensure timely investigation and preventive measures.
