'The Vvaan' Earns Rs 33 Crore Net in India, Rs 43.15 Crore Worldwide in Three Days
Single screens and smaller cities drive the film's strong weekend.
Tamannaah Bhatia and Sidharth Malhotra’s film The Vvaan recorded an upward trend at the box office during its opening weekend, collecting Rs 33.25 crore net in India within its first three days. The film, which was released in theatres on September 25, earned Rs 14 crore on its first Sunday, taking its India gross collection to Rs 39.65 crore and worldwide gross collection to Rs 43.15 crore.
The film opened with Rs 8 crore on Friday before registering stronger business on Saturday. It collected Rs 11.25 crore on its second day, followed by Rs 14 crore on Sunday. The Sunday figure was reported across 7,135 shows, marking a substantial increase from the opening-day collection and bringing the film’s three-day India net total to Rs 33.25 crore.
Overseas collections also contributed to the film’s opening weekend performance. The Vvaan earned Rs 1.25 crore overseas on its third day, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 3.50 crore. Combined with the domestic gross of Rs 39.65 crore, the film’s worldwide gross stood at Rs 43.15 crore after three days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh described the film’s opening business as a surprise, particularly pointing to its performance in Tier 2 and Tier 3 centres. He highlighted the increase in collections between Friday and Saturday, with the film recording a reported 40.52 per cent growth on Saturday. According to Adarsh, the film has been attracting audiences in mass-market locations and traditional single-screen markets.
Adarsh also placed The Vvaan’s performance in the wider context of Hindi films that have found strong business in non-national cinema chains and single-screen theatres during 2026. He cited several recent releases while noting that The Vvaan had also managed to attract audiences in smaller cities and heartland markets during its opening weekend.
With Rs 33.25 crore net collected in India in its first three days, The Vvaan has shown steady growth through its opening weekend. The film’s next phase at the box office will depend on its weekday collections and whether it can maintain the audience response seen across Saturday and Sunday, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
