Sohail Khan Shares Personal Account Of Childhood Sexual Harassment

Actor Sohail Khan has spoken publicly about a traumatic childhood experience, revealing that he was sexually harassed when he was young and kept the incident private for many years. During an episode of the show "Alliance," Sohail shared that the experience shaped his views on bullying, ragging, and the importance of creating an environment where children feel safe discussing difficult situations. He said the incident influenced the way he communicates with his sons, Nirvaan and Yohan.

Speaking during a conversation with fellow contestants, Sohail said he regularly encourages his children to speak openly if they ever face bullying or feel uncomfortable. He explained that his own experience of remaining silent for years made him more determined to ensure his children do not carry similar burdens. Sohail said he eventually opened up to his father as an adult, describing the feelings of embarrassment and shame he experienced despite not being responsible for what happened.

Sohail recalled that when he finally told his father about the incident, his father questioned why he had kept it hidden for so long. The actor said that, as a child, he struggled to talk about the experience because he felt ashamed, even though the fault was not his. Fellow participants on the show praised him for speaking about such a personal matter and described his decision to share his story as courageous.

During the same conversation, Sohail also spoke about his relationship with his former wife Seema Sajdeh and their approach to parenting. He shared a light-hearted memory from the birth of their elder son Nirvaan, revealing that he had once wanted to name his son "Ram Khan" as part of a playful agreement with Seema. However, after their son's birth, Seema had already connected with the name Nirvaan, and Sohail decided to keep it.

Sohail and Seema's relationship has also attracted attention during their appearance on "Alliance," where viewers have noticed their friendly and respectful equation despite their separation. The two have spoken about their past, their family bond, and their commitment to co-parenting their sons. Sohail said that while their marriage ended, he continues to hold deep respect for Seema as the mother of his children.

Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh married in 1998 and separated in 2022 after nearly 24 years together. They continue to maintain a cordial relationship for the well-being of their children. Sohail has previously said that both parents remain involved in their sons' lives and believe that maintaining a positive relationship helps children navigate changes in the family structure.
