The highly anticipated cross-cultural romance Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is slated for a global theatrical release on August 29, 2025, as announced by its makers, Maddock Films, on Wednesday. The production house unveiled a captivating motion poster on Instagram, showcasing Malhotra as a charming North Indian traveler and Kapoor as a graceful South Indian classical dancer, their paths crossing in a visually striking depiction. The poster’s release was accompanied by news that the film’s first song, Pardesiya, will be available later today, offering a glimpse into the movie’s soulful essence.
Directed under the banner of Maddock Films and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Param Sundari promises a vibrant love story set against the scenic backwaters of Kerala. The narrative follows a North Indian man, portrayed by Malhotra, and a South Indian woman, played by Kapoor, in a tale described as a rollercoaster of love, laughter, chaos, and unexpected twists.
Vijan likened the film to Mani Ratnam’s classic romances like Saathiya, while hinting at a modern high-tech element blended with the cultural depth reminiscent of Kantara. Initially scheduled for July 25, 2025, the release was postponed to August. The film is poised to captivate audiences with its heartfelt storytelling and rich musical score.
