Shah Rukh Khan Moves Out of Mannat Amid Major Renovation Work
The Khans were recently spotted shifting into a plush apartment in the upscale Pali Hill area of Bandra, where they are expected to reside for up to two years.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family have temporarily vacated their iconic sea-facing bungalow, Mannat, as it undergoes extensive renovation. The Khans were recently spotted shifting into a plush apartment in the upscale Pali Hill area of Bandra, where they are expected to reside for up to two years.
In a video shared by Filmygyan, Shah Rukh, wife Gauri Khan, and daughter Suhana Khan were seen arriving at their new residence. Suhana appeared in a bright yellow outfit, while Shah Rukh kept it classic in a crisp white shirt. The family's public appearance sparked excitement among fans, who flooded the comments with heart emojis and well wishes.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh has leased four floors of a luxury apartment building called Puja Casa, owned by film producer Vashu Bhagnani’s children, actor Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshika Deshmukh. His production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, entered into a leave-and-licence agreement to secure the space, which will also house the family’s security team, staff, and a small office setup. The reported rent for the apartment is ₹24 lakh per month.
The move became necessary as Mannat, a Grade III heritage structure, is finally set to undergo a long-pending extension. Due to its heritage status, Shah Rukh had to obtain court permission before initiating any structural modifications.
Sources say the Khans’ temporary residence has been outfitted with stringent privacy and security measures. While it remains uncertain whether the family will stay for the full two years, insiders suggest that the renovation timeline for Mannat could stretch that long, given the scale and complexity of the work planned.
