Shah Rukh Khan turned the 25th IIFA Awards into a celebration of his cinematic legacy, delivering a breathtaking performance on Sunday night in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Bollywood superstar lit up the stage, reaffirming his reign as the "King of Bollywood" at the silver jubilee event. A dazzling drone show kicked off his act, illuminating the sky with "SRK," "The King," and his iconic arms-wide-open pose, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Entering to the tune of "Badshah" from his 1999 film, Shah Rukh unleashed a medley of hits spanning decades. From "Tujhe Dekha To" (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, 1995) to "Arey Re Arey" (Dil To Pagal Hai, 1997)—where he reunited with Madhuri Dixit for a nostalgic dance—the actor had the audience roaring. The 2000s brought "Main Hoon Don," "Say Shaava" (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham), and "Dard-E-Disco" (Om Shanti Om), before he raised the tempo with "Zinda Banda" (Jawan) and "Lungi Dance" (Chennai Express). His swagger peaked with "Jhoome Jo Pathaan" from his 2023 comeback film Pathaan, a track now synonymous with his charisma. The finale, "Chaiyya Chaiyya" (Dil Se), saw him atop a prop train, recreating the song’s iconic magic.
The night also featured Shahid Kapoor’s electrifying dance to "Mauja Hi Mauja" and "Nagada Nagada" (Jab We Met), alongside "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya." Kareena Kapoor Khan honored her grandfather Raj Kapoor with classics like "Pyar Hua Iqrar Hua" and "Mera Joota Hai Japani." Performances by Kriti Sanon and Madhuri Dixit added sparkle, while Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies dominated the awards, clinching 10 trophies, including Best Film and Director. Shah Rukh’s show, however, stole the spotlight, blending nostalgia and star power in a night to remember.
