Samantha Ruth Prabhu Mobbed in Hyderabad Days After Nidhhi Agerwal Incident

Samantha Ruth Prabhu mobbed by fans in Hyderabad during store inauguration.

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a chaotic scene during a public appearance in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Sunday, as a massive crowd surged around her. Videos circulating online show Samantha struggling to make her way to her vehicle despite the presence of private security and police personnel. The incident has sparked renewed debate on fan boundaries and safety protocols for celebrities in public spaces.

The actress was attending the inauguration of Sirimalle Sarees when news of her presence attracted an overwhelming crowd of fans and onlookers. Visuals show men attempting to take selfies and push past security barriers, forcing personnel to physically shield Samantha and guide her through the crowd. Her composure under pressure drew widespread attention, with onlookers noting her continued smiles despite the distressing situation.

This event comes just days after actor Nidhhi Agerwal faced a similar ordeal at Lulu Mall on December 17. During a song launch for the Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab, Nidhhi was surrounded by a mob, with reports of manhandling and a near-stampede. Hyderabad police have since registered a suo motu case against the mall management and event organisers for failing to provide adequate security and obtain necessary permissions.

Social media quickly reacted to Samantha’s ordeal, with netizens condemning the crowd’s unruly behaviour. Many expressed frustration over repeated incidents, pointing out that even after legal action following Nidhhi Agerwal’s incident, proper crowd management and civic sense remain unaddressed. Users also questioned the event organisers for inadequate planning despite Samantha’s immense popularity.

The back-to-back incidents have reignited discussions on celebrity safety, fan etiquette, and the responsibility of organisers to ensure secure environments for public events. Experts say that such lapses pose serious risks not only to celebrities but also to the public present in crowded venues. The events underscore the challenges of managing fan enthusiasm in India’s entertainment industry.

Despite the overwhelming crowd, Samantha was escorted out safely, maintaining her professionalism throughout. As of late Sunday, neither the actress nor her team has issued an official statement regarding the security lapse. The incident is expected to prompt renewed scrutiny of public event management in Hyderabad and other major cities hosting celebrity appearances.
