Salman Khan Shares New Song From 'Maatrubhumi' After Hospital Incident
Salman Khan releases new song amid hospital paparazzi controversy.
Actor Salman Khan has shared a new song titled “Main Hoon” from his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, starring Chitrangda Singh, amid ongoing online attention surrounding a recent viral video in which he was seen expressing anger at paparazzi outside a Mumbai hospital.
The newly released song has been presented in a black-and-white format and focuses on emotional themes of love, separation, and longing. According to the makers, the track highlights the film’s core emotional narrative rather than its broader patriotic backdrop. The release comes as part of the promotional rollout for the film ahead of its scheduled release later this year.
The development follows a controversy involving Salman after a video surfaced online showing him reacting sharply to photographers who followed him to a hospital in Mumbai. The footage sparked widespread discussion on social media, with the actor later addressing the matter directly through posts on his official social media account.

In his statements, Salman expressed frustration over what he described as an intrusion into his privacy during a sensitive moment. He also criticised sections of the paparazzi, alleging that they were attempting to capture footage during his personal distress. The actor’s comments, including strongly worded remarks, further amplified the online debate around media conduct and celebrity privacy boundaries.
Separately, Salman clarified his stance in follow-up posts, stating that while he has maintained long-standing professional relationships with the press, there are limits to coverage in private or distressing situations. The remarks triggered mixed reactions online, with supporters backing his position on privacy and critics debating his tone.
Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is reportedly inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, which saw a deadly clash between Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control. The film features Salman as Colonel Santosh Babu of the 16 Bihar Regiment and also stars Chitrangda Singh in a lead role, with Abhilash Chaudhary and Ankur Bhatia in supporting parts. The film’s release has been rescheduled from April to August, according to production updates.
