Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, left behind an enduring legacy in Indian cinema. He was widely celebrated for his iconic role as Veeru in the legendary film "Sholay," a character still regarded as one of Bollywood’s finest. Salman Khan shared a close bond with Dharmendra, having worked together in the popular film "Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya." Their association dates back over five decades, linked through Salman’s father, screenwriter Salim Khan, who co-wrote "Sholay."

Following Dharmendra’s passing, Salman Khan was among the first celebrities to pay respects at the crematorium and attend the prayer meet organized by the Deol family on November 27. The veteran actor’s death sparked a wave of condolences throughout the film fraternity.
