The comments come shortly after the release of the film's teaser, which offered audiences their first extended look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. The teaser showcases key moments from the epic, including scenes linked to Rama's coronation and his exile to the forests of Panchavati. Kapoor's portrayal has drawn attention for its composed and dignified presentation of the legendary character.

One of the teaser's most talked-about moments is a brief appearance by Yash as Ravana. Although only shown for a few seconds, the glimpse generated considerable discussion among fans eager to see the actor's interpretation of one of Indian mythology's most iconic antagonists. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, who is expected to portray Sita, while Sunny Deol features in another significant role.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic event. The first installment is scheduled for a worldwide release ahead of Diwali in October 2026, while the second chapter is expected to arrive during Diwali 2027. Adding to the anticipation is the film's music, which marks the first collaboration between acclaimed Indian composer A.R. Rahman and Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer. With a star-studded cast and ambitious scale, the project is already being viewed as one of the most significant Indian film releases in recent years.
