Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 Opens India Bookings Today After Trailer Drops at 11 AM

The Dhurandhar 2 trailer drops today as India advance bookings open for the March 19 worldwide release.

Advance bookings for the upcoming Hindi film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, are expected to begin in India following the release of its official trailer on March 7. The makers have scheduled the trailer launch for 11:01 a.m., generating fresh momentum for the film ahead of its theatrical debut later this month. With promotional activities intensifying, the film’s team is preparing to open domestic ticket sales soon after the trailer release, as anticipation builds among audiences.

The action thriller is slated to hit cinemas worldwide on March 19, and advance ticket sales had already begun in select international markets earlier this week. According to industry reports, the India bookings are likely to follow immediately after the trailer premiere, giving fans the opportunity to secure seats well in advance. Ranveer Singh confirmed the trailer release through an Instagram post in which he urged viewers to prepare for the film’s unveiling and its upcoming global release.

The film’s producers are also planning special paid preview screenings on the evening of March 18, a day before the official release. These early shows are intended to build momentum and create strong opening-day buzz across major cinema chains. Exhibitors are reportedly introducing a premium ticket category titled “Super Blockbuster Plus", which is expected to be priced higher than existing tiers such as “Super Blockbuster” or "Blockbuster", both of which already command a surcharge compared to standard ticket prices.

One of the factors influencing the pricing strategy is the film’s unusually long runtime. Reports indicate that the current cut of the movie runs close to four hours, which significantly reduces the number of screenings theatres can schedule in a single day. As a result, cinemas may charge higher ticket prices to offset the reduced show capacity. The makers are reportedly exploring the possibility of trimming the runtime to around three hours and thirty minutes before the final release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features a prominent ensemble cast including Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal alongside Ranveer Singh. The sequel continues the narrative from the first instalment and follows the story of Hamza Ali Mazari as he rises through the ranks in Pakistan’s Lyari Town while pursuing Major Iqbal in a high-stakes espionage storyline.

Initially, the film was expected to clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups starring Yash. However, the postponement of that project to June 4 has reduced direct competition at the domestic box office. The film may still face international competition from Project Hail Mary, featuring Ryan Gosling, which is scheduled to release on March 20, just a day after Dhurandhar: The Revenge arrives in theatres.
