Ranbir Kapoor Once Took Away A Journalist’s Camera Over Katrina Kaif Footage

Former journalist Nikita Dalvi has recalled incidents from the period when Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were reportedly keeping their relationship private. Dalvi said she received tips about the two actors meeting and that her team followed up on the information while working as journalists. She claimed that on one occasion, Ranbir confronted the media team after they recorded footage of him and Katrina and took away their camera bag and boom microphone.

Speaking to Hindi Rush, Dalvi recalled an early tip about Ranbir visiting Katrina's home late at night. She said her team waited outside the residence and recorded his departure after he emerged around 1.30 a.m. According to Dalvi, Ranbir noticed the journalists, covered his face with a cap and left in his car. She said the incident became an early indication of the reports surrounding Ranbir and Katrina's relationship at the time.

Dalvi also recalled another incident involving a property belonging to Katrina's manager in Bandra, where she said the two actors were expected to meet. According to her account, the journalists waited nearby after receiving information about the meeting and began recording when Katrina arrived. She said Ranbir initially appeared to act as though he had only come to drop Katrina off, but returned around 10 minutes later after leaving the area.

The former journalist claimed that Ranbir then chased the media team, opened their press vehicle and took away their camera bag and boom microphone. She said the actor later asked her to promise that she would stop following him in exchange for returning the equipment. Dalvi said she refused, explaining that pursuing such leads was part of her work as a journalist. According to her account, Ranbir eventually returned the belongings after realising that she would not agree to his request.

Ranbir and Katrina reportedly began dating after working together on Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and remained one of Bollywood's closely followed couples during their relationship. They eventually separated and went on to build separate lives. Ranbir later married Alia Bhatt in April 2022, and the couple welcomed their daughter Raha the same year. Katrina married Vicky Kaushal in December 2021, and they welcomed their first child, son Vihaan, in November 2025.

Dalvi's recollection offers an account of the intense media attention surrounding Ranbir and Katrina during a period when their relationship had not been publicly acknowledged. Her claims about the encounters, including the alleged removal and later return of the equipment, are based on her recollection of events from her time as a journalist.
