Priyanka Chopra, Kajol, Karan Johar Lead Bollywood Tributes to Zarine Khan

Global Star Priyanka Chopra Jonas paid an emotional tribute to veteran socialite and interior designer Zarine Khan, who passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments, sharing that she will always remember her with "the greatest joy" and that she will be "very missed." Posting a vintage photograph on Instagram Stories, Priyanka wrote: "Dear Zarine aunty… You will always be remembered with the greatest joy. You will be very missed. My love and condolences to the family." 

The news triggered heartfelt condolences from across the industry, with Kajol posting, "Sending all my love and strength to the family… Zarine ji was always so kind and gracious. Om Shanti," alongside a prayer emoji. Filmmaker Karan Johar shared: "Zarine Aunty… such an elegant, warm and kind soul… will miss you immensely… Love and strength to Sanjay Uncle, Sussanne, Zayed, Farah, and the entire family."

Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne's former husband, attended the funeral to pay respects, while Bobby Deol was seen emotional at the ceremony. Other tributes poured in from Sonali Bendre, Dia Mirza, and more, reflecting Zarine's role as a nurturing matriarch who hosted lavish gatherings and supported her children's diverse careers in film, design, and jewellery.

Zarine co-founded the luxury furniture brand The Charcoal Project with daughter Sussanne and authored the popular Family Secrets: The Khan Family Cookbook, blending her Parsi heritage with culinary traditions. Despite health struggles in recent years, she remained active on social media, often sharing family moments and inspirational messages. Her passing follows a period of quiet resilience for the Khan family, coming just months after celebrating Sanjay Khan's birthday, and adds to the industry's recent losses of iconic supporting figures.
