A special community screening of the Bollywood film 3 Idiots has been organised in San Francisco after a Pakistan-origin founder announced that he had rented out a 250-seat theatre to host the event, drawing widespread attention on social media.
The initiative was announced by founder Farza Majeed, who said he had booked a full theatre in the city to screen the popular film starring Aamir Khan along with R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. The screening is scheduled for May 24 at the Marina Theatre in San Francisco and will be open to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
In his post on X, Majeed described the screening as an effort to share humour, inspiration, and a sense of reset for viewers. He wrote that the film focuses on three friends navigating life decisions and encouraged people in need of motivation or entertainment to attend the event. He also confirmed that the screening would include subtitles to make it accessible to a wider audience.
