NOT GETTING A DIVORCE! Sunita Ahuja Denies Divorce Rumours, Explains Why She and Govinda Live Separately

Bollywood actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has dismissed rumours of their divorce, clarifying that their decision to live in separate houses is purely for practical reasons.

In a video that has gone viral, Sunita explained that Govinda, who is active in politics, frequently hosts party workers at his office. To ensure privacy for their grown-up daughter, they decided to maintain separate residences.

“Ab jab beti jawan ho gayi hai, hum ghar mein aaram se shorts pehen kar ghoomte hain, isliye humne samne hi ek office le liya tha. Agar is duniya mein koi mai ka laal mujhe aur Govinda ko alag kar sakta hai, toh samne aakar dikhaye,” she said, as quoted by Times of India. (Now that our daughter has grown up, I wander around the house peacefully in shorts, which is why we took an office space near our house. If there's anyone who can separate me and Govinda, please come forward.)

Speculation about their marriage intensified after Sunita revealed that she has been celebrating her birthdays alone for the past 12 years. However, the couple’s lawyer and family friend, Lalit Bindal, has reassured that their relationship remains intact.

While he confirmed that they had filed for divorce six months ago, he emphasized that things are fine now. He also pointed out that the couple recently took a trip to Nepal and performed a puja at the Pashupati Nath Mandir during the New Year.

Bindal criticized the social media misinterpretation of Sunita’s statement that she did not want a husband like Govinda. “What she actually meant was that she wanted a son like him,” he clarified.

Dismissing all rumours, he confirmed that there are no ongoing divorce proceedings between the couple.
