Released in October 2000, Mohabbatein remains one of Bollywood’s most beloved romantic dramas, blending love, rebellion, and timeless music under Aditya Chopra’s direction. Twenty-five years later, the ensemble cast—led by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan—has followed diverse paths, from continued stardom to new creative ventures, proving the film’s enduring legacy.

Amitabh Bachchan, unforgettable as the strict Principal Narayan Shankar, continues to dominate Indian entertainment. At 83, he hosts Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17 and stars in major films including Section 84 (2025), Hasmukh Pighal Gaya (2025), and upcoming projects like Aankhen 2, Brahmastra 2, The Bull (2027), and The Intern (2026). He’s gearing up for King (2026), Pathaan 2 (2028), and a father-daughter project with Suhana Khan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who played the poignant Megha, has become a global fashion and film figure. After Ponniyin Selvan II, she remains a Cannes regular and selective with roles. Uday Chopra (Vikram) stepped away from acting post-Dhoom 3 (2013) and now leads YRF Entertainment in the US, producing web series like The Romantics (2023), Mandala Murders (2025), and AKKA (2025). Jugal Hansraj (Sameer) relocated to the US, married Jasmine Dhillon in 2014, and transitioned into writing with his fantasy trilogy—The Coward and the Sword (2022), The Jewel of Nisawa (2024), and a third book in 2026.
