'Mirzapur The Movie' Trailer Out: Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal Promise Bloodshed

Mirzapur The Movie trailer teases intense gang war before September release.

The trailer of Mirzapur: The Movie has been released, promising a violent battle for power, revenge and control over the throne of Mirzapur. The film brings back several familiar faces from the popular franchise, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Divyenndu as Munna Bhaiya and Ravi Kishan as Babban Babua. Jitendra Kumar also joins the cast, while the film is scheduled to release in September.

The trailer opens with Kaleen Bhaiya laying out his philosophy of power, asserting that the throne of Mirzapur cannot simply be inherited or secured through politics. According to him, power is earned through force and maintained through fear, with those who occupy the throne ultimately accepting a dangerous relationship with death. He also reinforces his position as the man who gives orders, suggesting that true leaders do not necessarily carry out killings themselves but control those who do.

Munna Bhaiya, meanwhile, continues to demand recognition as the "Prince of Mirzapur" and questions his father about why he was not entrusted with important deals. Kaleen Bhaiya points to Munna's impulsive behaviour, while Munna warns about the suffocating power dynamics surrounding his family. Despite the conflict between father and son, Kaleen Bhaiya makes it clear that Munna remains important to him, declaring that his son's identity matters above his mistakes.

Guddu Pandit, played by Ali Fazal, is shown attempting to build his own empire while navigating the dangerous struggle for control. Jitendra Kumar appears as Bablu Pandit, positioned as a strategic figure alongside Guddu. Their ambitions place them directly in the path of those already fighting for dominance. As competing groups attempt to expand their influence, the trailer sets up a confrontation in which alliances, loyalty and survival are constantly tested.

Ravi Kishan's Babban Babua adds another powerful element to the escalating gang war, while returning characters Beena Tripathi, played by Rasika Dugal, Gajgamani "Golu" Gupta, played by Shweta Tripathi, and Sweety Gupta, played by Shriya Pilgaonkar, are also shown caught amid the growing conflict. The trailer features action sequences, threats, confrontations and scenes of violence as multiple characters attempt to secure their position in the power struggle.

The trailer ends by reinforcing the franchise's central theme of ruthless ambition and the dangerous price of power. Kaleen Bhaiya remains determined to protect his position, while Guddu, Munna and the other contenders appear unwilling to surrender their ambitions. With its returning cast, new additions and focus on the battle for Mirzapur, the film appears set to continue the intense rivalry established by the series. Mirzapur: The Movie is slated for release in September, extending the story from the screen's popular crime drama into a feature-film format.
