Tamil actor Ajith Kumar is safe in Dubai amid rising tensions in the Middle East following Israeli and US strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities. The escalation in the Israel–US–Iran conflict has led to threats of retaliation and temporary airspace closures, affecting several international flight routes and causing widespread cancellations.
On March 1, Ajith’s manager confirmed to Zoom that the actor, who had planned to travel, had to return from the airport due to disruptions. “He was supposed to leave yesterday, but had to return from the airport. He is now safe in Dubai,” the manager said, reassuring fans about his well-being.
The conflict has caused large-scale flight disruptions across the region. Videos circulating on social media show crowded terminals at Dubai International Airport, while airlines such as Air India and IndiGo have stated that they are monitoring the situation closely and will resume operations once it is safe.

Ajith has been spending extended periods in the UAE due to his passion for motorsports. In a 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, he explained that he moved to Dubai to focus on racing, citing the city’s world-class circuits and a quieter lifestyle. “I’m having to do everything by myself, and I’m loving it,” he said, reflecting on the personal changes over the years.
The regional tension has also affected other Indian nationals in Dubai. Actress Sonal Chauhan recently appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi via Instagram Stories for help in returning safely to India amid flight disruptions and safety concerns.
Authorities continue to advise Indian citizens in the Gulf to stay updated with travel advisories, remain vigilant, and follow guidance issued by the Indian Embassy in the UAE to ensure their safety during the ongoing crisis.
