Kriti Sanon Says Rashmika Mandanna Has “No Insecurity”, Calls Her Very Genuine Co-Star
Kriti Sanon praises Rashmika Mandanna, calls her genuine co-star.
Bollywood Actor Kriti Sanon has praised her upcoming Cocktail 2 co-star Rashmika Mandanna, calling her a “very genuine person” with “no insecurity” during a recent interview. The comments come as both actors prepare for the release of the much-anticipated film, which has already generated strong curiosity among audiences due to its ensemble cast and fresh on-screen pairing.
Kriti addressed long-standing industry perceptions that often suggest insecurity between actresses working together. She clarified that her experience with Rashmika has been entirely positive. According to her, Rashmika carries a grounded personality and brings a sense of authenticity to her interactions, which helps create a comfortable working environment on set.
The actor also spoke about comparisons between the original Cocktail film and its upcoming follow-up, Cocktail 2. She explained that the new project is not a direct sequel but rather a “vibe franchise,” with entirely different characters and storylines. This distinction, she noted, may still lead to comparisons, but the narrative structure is designed to stand independently while maintaining a thematic connection to the original film.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 features Shahid Kapoor alongside Kriti and Rashmika in lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on June 19, 2026. The makers have already released the song “Jab Talak,” which has received a moderate response from audiences, while anticipation continues to build for the trailer and remaining soundtrack.
Industry reports suggest that Kriti currently does not have any officially announced projects beyond Cocktail 2, though she continues to be linked with several upcoming productions. Among the rumours is a potential high-budget pan-India film reportedly directed by Shouryuv, where she may star opposite Vijay Deverakonda, although no official confirmation has been made regarding the project.
As promotions for Cocktail 2 begin to take shape, the collaboration between Kriti and Rashmika has already drawn attention for its off-screen camaraderie. Kriti’s remarks highlight a positive working dynamic, setting expectations for their on-screen chemistry when the film arrives in theatres next year.
