Kiara Advani Once Shared Her Dream Of Having One Boy And One Girl
Kiara had once envisioned having both a son and daughter.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are expecting their second child, with the couple sharing the news on Wednesday through their social media accounts. The announcement has drawn attention to Kiara’s earlier comments about motherhood, in which she had spoken about her hopes of having two children with Sidharth.
During the promotions of her 2019 film Jugjugg Jeeyo, Kiara had been asked about pregnancy, motherhood and the kind of family she hoped to have in the future. Responding candidly, the actor said she wanted to experience pregnancy partly because it would allow her to indulge in food without worrying about restrictions. Her remarks offered a glimpse into her personal thoughts about starting a family.
Kiara was also asked whether she would prefer twins or have a particular preference between a boy and a girl. She emphasised that the health of her future children would be her biggest priority. She said she wanted two healthy children and added that, ideally, she would like to have one boy and one girl.

The actor’s old comments have resurfaced following the couple’s announcement of their second pregnancy. Kiara and Sidharth shared a joint social media post featuring their daughter’s hands holding a pair of tiny socks. Alongside the picture, they expressed their happiness and gratitude at receiving what they described as another great blessing. The post quickly attracted congratulatory messages from fans and members of the film industry.
Kiara and Sidharth welcomed their first child, daughter Saraayah Malhotra, on July 15, 2025. Kiara was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai’s Girgaon area for the delivery. The couple had earlier tied the knot on February 7, 2023, in a private wedding ceremony at Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan.
With the arrival of their second child now anticipated, Kiara’s earlier wish for two healthy children and her preference for a boy and a girl have gained renewed interest among fans. The couple, however, have kept details about the pregnancy private while celebrating the new addition to their family.
