Kartik Aaryan-Ananya Panday Film 'Tu Meri Main Tera..' Gets U/A 16+ Certificate After Key Edits

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s upcoming romantic drama Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has successfully cleared the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has been awarded a U/A 16+ certificate, allowing theatrical exhibition with parental guidance for younger viewers. The certification was officially granted on December 15 after minor modifications.

According to reports, the CBFC’s Examining Committee suggested three mandatory changes before granting approval. One of the key edits involved trimming a sexually suggestive sequence in the first half of the film, resulting in a 15-second reduction. This change was aimed at ensuring age-appropriate viewing under the U/A category.

Additionally, the committee instructed the makers to mute or remove certain dialogues containing obscene words, including their appearance in subtitles. Another modification involved the removal of abbreviated obscene expressions from a scene in the second half of the film. Once these edits were incorporated, the censor clearance was granted.

As per the CBFC certificate, the final runtime of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri stands at 145 minutes and 41 seconds. The film now joins the list of major Bollywood releases lined up for the holiday season, with promotions expected to begin closer to its release.

The romantic drama is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Bhumika Tewari under Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures. Direction is handled by Sameer Vidwans, known for Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday in lead roles, the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release during Christmas 2025. With censor clearance secured, the makers are now set to move ahead with final promotional and distribution plans.
