Jr NTR Wraps 'War 2' Shoot, Praises Hrithik Roshan’s Energy

Telugu cinema icon Jr NTR announced the completion of his shoot for 'War 2', the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'War', expressing admiration for co-star Hrithik Roshan and director Ayan Mukerji.

In an Instagram story shared Monday evening, the 42-year-old actor described the experience as a “blast” and credited Roshan’s infectious energy as a key takeaway. “There is so much I have learned from him on this journey of 'War 2',” NTR wrote, adding that Mukerji has crafted a “big surprise package” for audiences. He also thanked the Yash Raj Films (YRF) team and crew for their dedication.

Directed by Mukerji, 'War 2' features Roshan reprising his role as RAW agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal, alongside NTR and Kiara Advani. The film, part of the YRF Spy Universe, promises six high-octane action sequences filmed across five countries over 150 days.

Set for release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, it joins other franchise hits like Salman Khan’s 'Tiger' series and Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathaan'. The next chapter, 'Alpha', will star Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.

NTR’s excitement hints at a thrilling addition to the spy saga, with fans eagerly awaiting the big-screen spectacle. “Can’t wait for all of you to experience this high,” he posted.
