Aamir Khan Productions has taken fans by surprise with the announcement of Happy Patel: Khatarnakh Jasoos, a film that not only marks Vir Das’ directorial debut but also brings back Imran Khan after a decade-long hiatus. The announcement video, featuring a humorous exchange between Aamir Khan and Vir Das, ends with a glimpse of Imran, instantly sending social media into a frenzy. His last film appearance was Katti Batti in 2015, followed by a brief shift to directing in 2018. The film is slated for release on January 16, 2026.

Despite Vir’s defence, Aamir remains unimpressed until audiences are shown exiting theatres, enthusiastically praising everything he doubted.
