Hema Malini Endorses Deepika Padukone For Her Biopic

Veteran actor and politician Hema Malini has expressed her desire to see Deepika Padukone portray her in a biopic, should a film based on her life ever be made. Speaking at an event marking her 60 years in Indian cinema, Hema described Deepika as a "beautiful, talented girl" and said she would be an ideal choice to play her on screen. The comments came during an interaction celebrating the legendary actor's six-decade-long contribution to Indian cinema.

When asked who she would like to portray her in a biographical film, Hema Malini responded positively about Deepika Padukone. "If she wants, she can do it. Anybody can do it. Deepika is a beautiful, talented girl," she said. Although no biopic on Hema Malini has been officially announced, her remarks quickly drew attention among fans and the film industry.

The admiration between the two actors dates back several years. In 2017, Hema Malini personally chose Deepika Padukone to launch her biography, Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, written by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. The event reflected the veteran actor's appreciation for Deepika, who has since established herself as one of Bollywood's leading performers through several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films.

Hema Malini completed 60 years in the film industry this year, a milestone that celebrates an extraordinary career spanning numerous hit films, classical dance performances and later public service as a politician. Widely regarded as one of Indian cinema's most celebrated actresses, she continues to remain an influential figure in the entertainment industry.

While there are currently no confirmed plans for a biopic on Hema Malini, her endorsement of Deepika Padukone has sparked interest among fans over what such a project could look like.
