HBO’s Harry Potter Series Unveils Weasley Family Cast
HBO reveals the actors playing the iconic Weasley siblings, joining an all-star cast for the 2027 Harry Potter series premiere.
HBO has ignited excitement among Harry Potter fans by announcing the cast for the beloved Weasley family in its upcoming television series, set to premiere in 2027. The reveal, shared via Instagram with a vibrant cast photo, introduces the actors portraying Ron Weasley’s siblings, further expanding the ensemble for this highly anticipated adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s iconic book series.
Tristan and Gabriel Harland, known for their roles in The Last Kingdom, will bring the mischievous twins Fred and George Weasley to life. Ruari Spooner, recently featured in a 2024 short film, takes on the role of the studious Percy Weasley, while Gracie Cochrane, who debuted in Steve McQueen’s Blitz, will portray the spirited Ginny Weasley. They join Alastair Stout, making his acting debut as Ron Weasley, and Katherine Parkinson, celebrated for The IT Crowd, as the nurturing matriarch Molly Weasley. Casting for Arthur, Charlie, and Bill Weasley remains forthcoming.
The Weasley family joins a stellar cast, including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
Helmed by showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod, with J.K. Rowling as an executive producer, the series promises a faithful adaptation, with each of the seven books unfolding over a season. Filming is underway at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, UK, setting the stage for a magical debut in 2027.
