Hansika Motwani Addresses Divorce From Sohael Khaturiya After Mutual Separation

Hansika Motwani speaks about her divorce, saying she has no regrets and will not disclose details.

Actor Hansika Motwani has spoken publicly for the first time about her separation from businessman Sohael Khaturiya following their divorce by mutual consent, stating that she has no intention of explaining the circumstances behind the end of her marriage.

In a recent interview, Hansika addressed the public attention surrounding her personal life, saying she would not clarify what led to the breakdown of the relationship. “People wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines, they got it,” she said, adding that she has “no regrets” and considers it better to move on rather than remain in an unhappy situation.

The couple was granted a divorce by a family court in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb on March 11, ending their marriage that began with a lavish ceremony at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur in December 2022. According to her legal representative, Hansika did not seek any alimony or financial settlement, stating her intention was to achieve a “dignified and peaceful closure.”

Hansika also reflected on the emotional support she received from her family during the difficult period, particularly from her mother and brother. She described going through a “very dark space” emotionally and said her family encouraged her to prioritise her well-being and make her own decision about the marriage.

The actor emphasised that details of the separation remain private between the two individuals involved, noting that outside commentary is unnecessary. “What happens between two people is known only to them,” she said, reinforcing her stance that she will not revisit or publicly explain the matter further.

Known for her work in films such as Aap Kaa Surroor, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, and My Name Is Shruthi, Hansika has largely focused on her professional commitments following the divorce. Reports also noted that she had previously removed wedding photographs from social media, sparking earlier speculation about the couple’s separation.
