Govinda Reveals 3 AM Home Incident: Faced 22 Men With Gun After Police No-Show
Actor Govinda recounts a tense late-night incident outside his Mumbai residence.
Veteran Bollywood Actor Govinda has finally spoken out about an alleged security scare at his Mumbai home in the early hours of the morning, an incident that was first revealed by his manager last week. Describing the episode as unsettling, the actor claimed that a large group of unidentified men had gathered outside his residence around 3 AM, prompting serious concerns for his safety.
In an interaction with ANI, Govinda said he initially became suspicious due to the unusual silence around the group. He noted that they did not appear to be party-goers and were scattered in a manner that raised alarm. Unable to get a response from the Mumbai Police despite repeated calls, the actor said he contacted senior police officials outside the country to remain on the line as a precautionary measure.
Govinda further stated that he stepped outside with his licensed firearm and questioned the men about their presence. According to him, the group initially remained silent before claiming they were there to repair a power-related issue. The actor said he instructed them to complete the work and leave immediately, asserting that he would not compromise when his life felt threatened.

He also revealed that nearly 22 to 23 individuals were present, with some positioned on the terrace and others standing in different areas around the house. Despite the gravity of the situation, Govinda maintained that he did not dwell on who may have orchestrated the incident, adding that his focus remains on his profession rather than reacting emotionally to such events.
Earlier, Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha had confirmed the incident, stating that an FIR had been filed and a video of the episode exists. Sinha described the situation as extremely dangerous, expressing gratitude that Govinda was alert and armed at the time. The incident has since raised questions about celebrity security and response mechanisms during emergencies in the city.
