Ranveer Singh Ignores Don 3 Controversy, Posts Budapest Photo With Declan Rice
Ranveer posts a Budapest photo with Declan Rice amid the ongoing Don 3 FWICE controversy.
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has shared his first social media post amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his exit from Don 3, posting a photograph with Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice during a visit to Budapest, Hungary. The image, shared on Instagram Stories, quickly attracted attention from both football enthusiasts and Bollywood fans, as the actor continues to remain in the spotlight over developments related to the highly anticipated film franchise.
The photograph showed Ranveer Singh and Declan Rice posing together in a relaxed setting. Accompanying the image was a brief caption from the actor that read, “About last night,” along with two heart emojis. While the exact purpose of Ranveer’s visit to the Hungarian capital has not been disclosed, the post generated significant interest online due to the timing of its release and the popularity of both personalities.
The social media update comes shortly after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a temporary non-cooperation directive against the actor following his reported withdrawal from Don 3. The federation stated that it had received a complaint from filmmaker Farhan Akhtar regarding Ranveer’s exit from the project. According to FWICE representatives, the actor allegedly stepped away from the film only weeks before the production unit was scheduled to commence major work, creating challenges for the filmmakers.

Speaking about the matter, FWICE Chief Advisor and Indian Film and Television Directors' Association President Ashok Pandit said the federation followed its standard procedures after receiving the complaint. He noted that producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani were invited to present their positions before the organization. While Sidhwani attended the meeting in person, Akhtar reportedly joined virtually from London. Pandit further stated that FWICE had sent three formal notices to Ranveer Singh but had not received a response.
In response to the controversy, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson released a statement emphasizing the actor’s respect for the film industry and everyone associated with the Don franchise. The statement said that Singh had deliberately chosen not to comment publicly on the issue, maintaining that professional discussions and personal relationships should be handled with dignity and mutual respect. It further noted that despite widespread speculation, the actor remained focused on his professional commitments and wished the franchise continued success.
Meanwhile, FWICE later clarified that its action should not be interpreted as a formal ban but rather as a temporary non-cooperation measure. On the professional front, Ranveer Singh is preparing for his next major project, Pralay, a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller that will also mark his debut as a producer. The film follows the reported success of filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise and is expected to be one of the actor’s most ambitious ventures in the coming years.
