Farah Khan Ali Breaks Silence on Sanjay Khan-Zeenat Aman Marriage
Farah Khan Ali confirms father Sanjay Khan's marriage to Zeenat Aman.
Actor Sanjay Khan's daughter Farah Khan Ali has confirmed that her father was briefly married to veteran actress Zeenat Aman, addressing one of the most discussed relationships in Bollywood history. Rumours about Sanjay and Zeenat's relationship had circulated since the 1970s, but Farah has now publicly stated that the two were married for a short period before her father later divorced the actress.
Zeenat Aman and Sanjay Khan were widely reported to have been in a relationship during the 1970s, when both were prominent figures in the Hindi film industry. At the time, Sanjay was already married to Zarine Khan and was the father of three daughters, while the couple were expecting their fourth child. Despite years of speculation surrounding his relationship with Zeenat, details about whether the two had actually married had remained unclear.
Speaking in an interview with Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Farah was directly asked whether her father had married Zeenat Aman. She confirmed the marriage, saying that he had indeed married the actress at that time. Her statement provided a rare confirmation from a member of Sanjay Khan's family about the relationship that had been the subject of rumours and reports for several decades.

When asked how the marriage eventually ended, Farah said the two had married according to Muslim customs and that Sanjay later divorced Zeenat through the same religious process. She did not provide further details about how long the marriage lasted or the circumstances that led to the separation, but confirmed that the relationship had formally ended in divorce.
The relationship between Zeenat and Sanjay has also long been associated with reports of an alleged assault at a public gathering in a five-star hotel in 1979. Several accounts over the years claimed that Sanjay had assaulted the actress and caused a permanent injury to her eye. However, Farah dismissed these allegations and rejected claims that her father was responsible for permanently damaging Zeenat's eye.
The confirmation has once again brought attention to a controversial chapter involving two major Bollywood stars of the 1970s. While Farah has acknowledged that her father and Zeenat were briefly married and later divorced, she has strongly disputed the long-standing assault allegations. The comments provide a new family perspective on a relationship that has remained the subject of speculation for decades.
